Icelandic ISP turns to GlobalSign SSL

July 14, 2009 by

Webmaster ToolsPortsmouth, NH – GlobalSign, Inc., one of the longest established Certification Authorities (CA) and specialists in SSL Partner Programs, today announced that EJS ehf. a leading Icelandic Internet Solutions Provider has joined the GlobalSign Partner Program, enabling them to provide GlobalSign SSL Certificate products to their extensive Icelandic customer base. The partnership will allow EJS’s customers to secure websites, online transactions, web mail and other next generation online services using GlobalSign highly trusted SSL technology.

As a provider of SSL Certificates for approximately four years, EJS made the decision to switch to GlobalSign’s Partner Program from another leading SSL provider to benefit from GlobalSign’s customer service and marketing resources provided via its European offices. This was an influencing factor for EJS, as was GlobalSign’s simplified, feature packed SSL product range, comprehensive provisioning system and overall expertise in the channel market – all key tools for partners to successfully resell SSL.

“As a leading supplier of SSL Certificates in the Icelandic region we wanted to be able to offer our customers an SSL product that we could easily order, quickly install and manage on our customers’ behalf and GlobalSign’s comprehensive Partner Program with easy to use Certificate Management Portal enables us to do exactly this”, said Huldar Sigurdsson, Hosting Manager, EJS. “GlobalSign also provides an excellent level of customer service and this is a key aspect to the overall success of our business”.

“With the ongoing success of our SSL Partner Program we are delighted to welcome EJS on board as our latest partner and look forward to them taking our trusted solutions to their Icelandic customer base”, said Paul Tourret, Managing Director, GlobalSign Ltd. “EJS is yet another example of an influential, locally focused reseller choosing GlobalSign and we anticipate a long and mutually beneficial partnership with this leading solutions provider.”

Choosing to offer, fast issuance Domain Validated SSL Certificates to customers, with the option of including additional premium features (for example, Subject Alternative Names (SANs) and wildcard characters for securing multiple sites with a single certificate), EJS is able to meet their customers’ individual requirements by offering simple tailor made SSL solutions – saving their customers time, effort and cost in the longer term. All GlobalSign SSL Certificates are inclusive of Server Gated Cryptography (SGC) (to “step up” weak browser encryption to strong encryption on older browsers), are issued from the widely distributed 2048 bit GlobalSign Root CA Certificate.

GlobalSign’s SSL Certificates are now available from EJS and their products and solutions can be found at www.ejs.is.
