Colo5 Announces Key Additions to Jacksonville Data Center

Hosting Tools JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Colo5, a leading independent data center operator headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, today announced the addition of key personnel to the Company’s infrastructure.

Colo5 CEO Doug Recker commented, “As our company grows, we continue to make meaningful investment in the quality of our personnel, who are backbone of our data center’s superb infrastructure. We are excited to have added some of North Florida’s top-notch IT and sales talent to the Colo5 team.”

Diane Yao joins Colo5 as its new Chief Technology Officer. Ms. Yao most recently directed the North American enterprise network for MPS Group, Inc., a $1.26 billion publicly traded company (NYSE: MPS) comprised of over 150 locations throughout North America. Ms. Yao has extensive IT leadership experience and is a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE). Her background includes IT leadership roles with CSX, Sea-Land, Cable and Wireless, and Barnett Banks, Inc. covering large global enterprise network design, disaster recovery, and data center support. Recker noted, “Jacksonville’s IT community knows Diane well and has great respect for her technical acumen and commitment to her customers.” Ms. Yao has served on the Mayor’s Asian American Advisory Board and is currently the Chairman of China Committee for the Jacksonville Sister Cities Association.

Michael Harrell joins Colo5 as its Network Manager, reporting to Ms. Yao. Most recently Mr. Harrell was a Senior Network Engineer at MPS Group, Inc. where he was responsible for design and support of the company’s enterprise network and IP telephony infrastructure. Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Technology from University of Central Florida and has ten years of IT working experience. “Mike is an outstanding addition to our team, whose expertise and tireless work ethic gives our customers peace of mind,” noted Ms. Yao.

Ernest (“Ernie”) Bono joins Colo5 as its Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales. With over thirteen years experience in the retail, healthcare, and IT staffing industries, Mr. Bono most recently managed business development and IT staffing efforts for a division of Meridian Technologies, Inc. A high-energy leader, Mr. Bono’s sustained efforts over five years were vital in catapulting a former NYSE-traded healthcare practice management company to a $1.5 billion enterprise. CEO Recker noted, “Ernie is a seasoned and dynamic professional who brings a great deal of leadership and ballast to our sales efforts. He is an expert at mobilizing human talent, meeting customer needs, and executing at the highest levels.”
