DataPipe Adds Space to New Jersey Data Center

October 7, 2009 by

Web Host Blog Jersey City, NJ — DataPipe, a global provider of managed IT services, announced today that it has acquired its seventh data center, adding a third data center facility in Somerset, New Jersey. Previously utilized by a multi-national financial services firm, the 55,000 square foot facility can support 45,000 square feet of raised floor with a critical power load of 8 Megawatts.

The “Somerset Three” facility follows the 2006 acquisition of the company’s first Somerset facility and the 2008 acquisition of a second facility. Upgrades to the power infrastructure and the implementation of three factor security systems are expected to be complete for an April 1, 2010 opening.

“In 2009 we tripled the capacity of our London and Hong Kong data centers,” said Robb Allen, CEO of DataPipe. “We expect to be at full capacity in our current New Jersey facilities by the second quarter of 2010, so the addition of this data center is timely and will enable us to continue to meet the growing demand for managed IT services.”
