Web Hosting ServicesSCOTTSDALE, AZ – Go Daddy, the world’s No. 1 provider of net-new SSL certificates, has been selected as the digital certificate provider for Cisco’s new business-to-business collaboration technology called Cisco Intercompany Media Engine (IME). The digital certificates are used during the process that encrypts interactions between IMEs, giving Cisco customers peace of mind their communications are secure.

Cisco, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, turned to Go Daddy for security when developing its new IME system. The Cisco IME represents the first time that organizations can conduct secure, high-quality, voice and video telephone calls across the internet – using their existing telephone numbers – without the need to re-provision or replace currently deployed infrastructure. Cisco IME securely connects VoIP networks between businesses enabling true boundary-less communications among business partners, customers and suppliers.

Validated communications routes are established through the new system using a Cisco IME Certificate from Go Daddy. The certificate ensures trusted voice and video communications between partners, suppliers and customers around the world.

Go Daddy developed the IME certificate for Cisco based on its existing SSL technologies, which enable server to browser encryption.

“When Cisco approached us about their Intercompany Media Engine, we knew we had just what they needed to secure it,” said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. “Go Daddy is all about securing communications for people and businesses, no matter how large or small and with us, Cisco customers not only benefit from rock solid security, they also get to take advantage of our outstanding customer service and affordable price point.”

It’s that same win-win proposition that has propelled Go Daddy to a leadership role in SSL Market Share. The world leader in net-new certificates 17 of the last 18 months, Go Daddy is on pace to pass current market share leader about one year from now, according to Netcraft Ltd.
