Intermedia Opens First UK-Based Data Center

The new ISO27001- and SAS 70-certified datacenter supports Intermedia Exchange hosting customers in the UK, as well as throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The datacenter is located in Slough, UK and believed to be the only facility in the UK that provides hosted Exchange 2010 with clustering and redundant server infrastructure — technologies critical to the high reliability businesses expect for email service. Intermedia invested in the facility based on the UK’s continued high demand for hosted communications. The company tripled its UK customer base in 2009 with service offerings including hosted Microsoft Exchange, Office Communications Server 2007, SharePoint and support for BlackBerry, iPhone, Droid and other smartphones.
