U.S. Web Proxy Protects Against NSA Surveillance and Corporate Tracking

Web Hosting Services – Dallas, Texas – The free U.S. web proxy released by idcloak allows users to access the internet without fear of government surveillance or corporate tracking. The service is recommended as a partner to privacy features built in to browsers, such as Incognito Mode Chrome or IE’s InPrivate Browsing, which remove a user’s digital fingerprint on a device. The U.S. web proxy removes that fingerprint on the web.
“Internet users activate their browser’s privacy mode because they don’t want others to see where they are going online,” explains tech researcher, Robin Welles, “but the only people they are successfully hiding from are those with access to their machine. Websites you visit, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and most likely your government all have record of your IP address against the searches you do and the pages you visit. The third-party can then use track IP address technologies to follow you across a network of affiliate sites and, if they have access to your ISP’s registries, even match your ‘private browsing’ to your name and address. The private browsing function doesn’t prevent any of this. A web proxy does.”
The idcloak proxy eliminates two forms of data, which process makes a user’s activity private on the net. First it replaces the IP address with one of its own, so sites only have record of visits from idcloak’s servers. Secondly, it offers levels of encryption that prevent any intermediary, like an ISP collecting data for the NSA, from seeing what content a user receives from the proxy. The ISP registry will show nothing more than repeated visits to idcloak.com.
Welles says browsers’ private browsing function still plays an important part in the privacy process, “The browsers must prevent cookies from being planted on your machine as they can also communicate identifiers to third parties. This means when you proxy your activity, you still need your browser’s support to make the private browsing complete.”
idcloak has also recently released a Japan web proxy for users fearful of targeted surveillance. Because American ISPs are bypassed completely, the user is better protected against high-grade correlation and timing attacks.
