GoGrid Scales Management Team to Support Increasing Growth

Web Hosting ServicesSan Francisco, Calif. – GoGrid, a leading cloud infrastructure company, today announced that it has appointed CIO & EVP Technology Mark Worsey as the company’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President Technology and Robert Carroll has joined as Chief Revenue Officer overseeing global sales, marketing, and products. With more than 40 years of combined industry experience, the two leaders position GoGrid to expand its market leadership.

In his new role as Chief Operating Officer and EVP Technology, Mark Worsey can draw on repeated success in rapid product innovation combined with the intensive operational rigor critical to remaining competitive. “Having spent more than 25 years at high-growth companies, I’m familiar with the tremendous pace at which industry moves today,” said Worsey. “Our challenge is to successfully develop the key pieces that will transform how our customers run and manage their data-driven businesses.”

Since 2010, Worsey served as GoGrid’s CIO & EVP Technology, responsible for all aspects of product execution including R&D, Engineering, and Network Operations as well as the company’s Customer Service Operations. Previously, he was CIO & Global VP Technology for Blackhawk Network, with responsibility for driving the technology platform strategy and global network operations for this prepaid and gift card payments processing leader. He has also held CIO and VP leadership positions at Accenture, Netscape Communications, AOL, Time Warner, and Xign Corporation, (acquired by JPMorgan Chase).

As GoGrid’s Chief Revenue Officer, Robert Carroll has global responsibility for executing the company’s Sales, Product, and Marketing strategies. “The enormous talent that made GoGrid one of the first cloud infrastructure providers proved the company knows how to build unique, customer-focused solutions,” Carroll says. “Now GoGrid is once again pioneering a fundamental shift in the testing and development of Big Data technologies, and I’m proud to become a member of the team that will chart this course. Before joining GoGrid, Carroll was CMO at SDL Tridion, where he crafted and executed thought-leadership initiatives in the emerging Customer Experience Management (CXM) category. Previously, he held executive product and marketing positions at Clickability (acquired by Limelight Networks), Wind River (acquired by Intel), Ofoto (acquired by Kodak), and ZDNet (acquired by CBS Interactive). He was also a founding team member of GNN, the world’s first commercial website.
