Hosting ToolboxBoston, MA – GlobalSign, one of the leading providers of SSL Certificate solutions, today announced the launch of the multi-platform OneClickSSL plug-ins at the World Hosting Days 2011, held at Europa Park in Rust, Germany from the 22 until the 25 March 2011.

The OneClickSSL system is being made available at the platform level for cPanel, Parallels Plesk, IIS and Apache (with other integrations being revealed at the WHD event) – thereby offering hosting companies the most efficient way to employ SSL security ever available.  OneClickSSL rewrites the SSL paradigm by moving away from the traditional, long-winded and error prone process of SSL provisioning and replacing it with an automated “click to Activate SSL” workflow easily understood by customers of all technical abilities. With OneClickSSL, users simply activate SSL for their website by redeeming Secure Site vouchers via any of the OneClickSSL plug-ins.  Redemption of the voucher means the plug-in transparently creates the cryptographic keys, the Certificate Signing Request (CSR), validates the control of the domain, installs the issued certificate and binds it to the appropriate website, all within 45 seconds. Parallels EMEA Partner Roadshow Bolsters White-label Reseller Opportunities to Help Hosters Increase Revenue & Grow SaaS Offerings

August 20, 2009 by · Comments Off on Parallels EMEA Partner Roadshow Bolsters White-label Reseller Opportunities to Help Hosters Increase Revenue & Grow SaaS Offerings

ParallelsWeb Hosting ToolsMUNICH, Germany — Virtualization and automation leader, Parallels, will conduct a seven-country partner roadshow targeting Parallels’ partners and other hosters, cloud services providers and ISVs. The EMEA Partner Roadshow will provide attendees with insights and best practices to deploy applications and services in a hosted environment. The roadshow will also provide practical examples of how hosters can use white-label reselling to create a lucrative indirect sales channel with a wider portfolio of applications, while maintaining brand independence and client loyalty.

White-label reselling enables hosters to resell and deliver SaaS applications including Microsoft Exchange, Windows SharePoint, Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS), etc. in a hosted environment. In the SaaS model, end user customers subscribe to applications instead of purchasing them, typically on a monthly basis. In this pay-as-you go approach, SMBs are afforded an easy-to-use low-cost service.

An April 2009, study by IDC finds that growth in the SaaS market will be strong in Europe despite — and in some cases because of — the weak economic conditions. The overall SaaS market will grow from €237 million in 2004 to €6,005 million in 2013 (1). From this and other recent IDC studies, it is clear that SaaS has become accepted by the mainstream of user organizations around Europe. This will result in continued strong growth, making SaaS a rising star in a very largely depressed European software market.

Webmaster NewsHerndon, Va. – Parallels, a leader in virtualization and automation software, announced today that registration for its 5th annual conference is open. Parallels Summit 2009 – the biggest event of the US hosting industry calendar – was held earlier this year in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event attracted a record number of attendees and featured keynote sessions from respected industry leaders and commentators, headlined by Parallels CEO, Serguei Beloussov. Parallels Summit 2010 promises to deliver even more networking and educational opportunities.

“I thought the speakers were a big step up from most events in this space,” said Antonio Piraino, Senior Analyst, Managed Hosting & Cloud Infrastructure Services, Tier 1 Research. “I think that’s the reason we saw the rapid up-swing in attendees to well over 1000. The content was focused, relevant and I got the sense that people were really trying to help each other’s businesses rather than just harbor a hidden sales pitch for the latest and greatest products.” Read more
