Webmaster ToolboxYaphank, N.Y. – KEMP Technologies today announced the availability of its new Virtual LoadMaster Exchange (VLM-Exchange) for Microsoft Hyper-V™. This product offering from KEMP was selected as a Microsoft Best of Tech Ed 2011 finalist by Penton Media’s Windows IT Pro, SQL Server Magazine, DevProConnections and SharePointPro, in the virtualization category. The new virtual appliance application delivery controller (ADC) is specifically designed for Microsoft Exchange 2010 running on Hyper-V machines, allowing businesses to easily establish high-availability and redundancy for Client Access Servers (CAS) and other critical Microsoft Exchange 2010 Server roles. The VLM-Exchange for MS Hyper-V ensures that a company’s investment in Microsoft Hyper-V based server virtualization is further leveraged by turning its virtual machines into fully-featured, production-capable ADCs.

The VLM-Exchange for MS Hyper-V is the software-based solution of the recently launched LoadMaster-Exchange for Microsoft Exchange 2010. As with the hardware version, it includes features such as SSL offload, caching, compression, content switching and Exchange Server affinity (persistence). Moreover, advanced Exchange application health checking and the ability to be deployed in a redundant, active/hot-standby configuration ensure high availability of Microsoft Exchange 2010. Read more

Hosting ReviewsYaphank, N.Y. – KEMP Technologies today announced the availability of its new LoadMaster Exchange (LM-Exchange) server load balancing and application delivery appliance. The newest member of its family of affordable load balancers, the KEMP LoadMaster Exchange is designed to address high-availability and scalability demands of Microsoft Exchange 2010 deployments for businesses up to 250 users.

While all of KEMP’s server load balancing and application delivery controller (ADCs) products currently support and are approved by Microsoft’s Exchange Server 2010 qualification program for hardware and software load balancers, the LM-Exchange is the first product of its kind that was specifically designed and purpose-built for Microsoft’s Exchange 2010. “For the smaller business that may not be familiar with load balancing technology, ease-of-use and speed of deployment was our top priority in the design and development of this product,” said Peter Melerud, vice president of product management at KEMP. “For the vast majority of smaller enterprises, which will consolidate the primary Exchange 2010 server roles onto a pair of servers, the LM-Exchange can be deployed in less than five minutes, providing instant redundancy and high-availability for client access server (CAS) and other critical Exchange 2010 services.” Read more
