The new site, conveniently located at the Staples Corner junction of the M1 (NW2), will see the company’s carbon neutral data center footprint grow to 75,000sq ft and will ensure that UK Grid have one of the largest portfolios of colocation capacity in multiple cities of the UK. The 10,000 square foot facility, which is the first data center for CyrusOne operations in Europe, will expand the company’s international customer base and serve existing CyrusOne customers that have international data center requirements. CyrusOne has first rights of refusal on an additional 10,000 square feet, to be taken upon request.

In keeping with CyrusOne’s standards for high availability colocation space, the company’s London facility will feature N+N or N+1 power solutions; a minimum N+N Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with battery back-up, a minimum of N+1 standby on all cooling systems, as well as state-of-the-art fire detection and suppression, security and building management systems.
