KnownHost Expands with New East Coast Datacenter

December 12, 2011 by · Comments Off on KnownHost Expands with New East Coast Datacenter

Web Hosting ServicesKnownHost LLC announced today that it expanded its VPS offerings to include a New Jersey-based datacenter.  The addition joins its already-established locations in Texas and California, and is the company’s third major datacenter brought online in six years.

The development comes on the heels of the firm’s news earlier this year that it now monitors 201 physical servers, placing it as the number-one webhost among the HyperSpin rankings for reliability and uptime.

According to the newest figures, KnownHost achieves a 99.967% uptime ranking, exceeding the 99.954% benchmark that HyperSpin considers to be a reliable webhost.

“Our growth is allowing us to rapidly invest in more managed virtual private server offerings,” said Justin Sauers, CEO at KnownHost LLC.  “Adding our third datacenter allows our customers to have more flexibility and reinforces our commitment to providing the best products and the most reliable support in the industry.”

Congruent with technological trends in managed VPS systems, KnownHost is recognizing the benefits of investing in the use of additional datacenters.  The Data Center Journal noted in June that according to the Uptime Institute’s inaugural datacenter-industry survey, “nearly two-thirds of respondents (60%) expect to upgrade/renovate an existing datacenter or construct a new data center within the next three years.”

As such, KnownHost has selected a leading datacenter provider in Piscataway, New Jersey, that was ranked by Inc. magazine as a fastest-growing company in America, that holds a certification for operating effectiveness, and that has the resources for world-class support within the surrounding New York City metro area.

KnownHost has been consistently ranked as a top Managed VPS Host in the HyperSpin rankings over the previous four years.  It also received a 2011 Editors’ Choice Award from the Web Hosting Directory and Review site FindMyHost.com, which bases its recognition on both editor-level and consumer-level reviews.

ServInt Announces The Largest VPS RAM, Disk-Space And Processing-Power Increase in its History

July 19, 2011 by · Comments Off on ServInt Announces The Largest VPS RAM, Disk-Space And Processing-Power Increase in its History

Hosting ServicesMcLean, VA ServInt, a pioneering provider of managed hosting for enterprises worldwide, today began implementing the largest free Virtual Private Server (VPS) resource upgrade in its history.

The upgrade will take two forms.  First, disk space on all hosting packages will be increased by 20 percent.  Second, as a result of the Company’s decision to reduce the number of customers allocated to each virtualized server, most VPS customers will enjoy greatly increased access to RAM, CPU and other performance-impacting resources.  On average, these resources will increase by 33 percent, resulting in a measurably faster end-user experience.

ServInt today also introduced a new service package, Essential+ VPS, that offers 33 percent more RAM than its entry-level Essential VPS counterpart, in addition to greater access to CPU and other performance resources – for only $10 more per month.

“The goal of our new Essential+ VPS is to take the incredible value of our entry-level Essential VPS and augment the specs for our customers who are looking for a little more power, but are not quite ready to make the leap into our Signature VPS or Ultimate VPS packages,” said ServInt Chief Operating Officer Christian Dawson.

ServInt Chief Technology Officer Matthew Loschert said, “With the expansion into our new Northern Virginia data center complete, we’ve been able to add a vast quantity of new hardware to our platform.  We have used this opportunity to dramatically enhance the specifications of all our VPS packages, at no additional cost to our customers.”
