Hosting Tools RESTON, VA – .ORG, The Public Interest Registry announces the release of their first bi-annual domain name report, “The Dashboard.” Among other industry data, “The Dashboard” reveals that registrations for .ORG grew 11%, up to 7.69 million total registrations in the first half of 2009, compared to a year ago. This is significant since the growth rate outpaces other well known Top Level Domains (TLDs) such as .com and .net in a year otherwise marked by economic downturn. Similarly, from January to June, .ORG experienced the highest percentage growth at 5% compared to other TLDs.
