3rd Annual Web Professionals’ Day Happens Thursday

April 27, 2010 by

Web Hosting ServicesSCOTTSDALE, AR –  This Thursday, April 29, is the third annual Web Professionals’ Day.  Go Daddy, the world’s largest domain name registrar and Web hosting provider, created the holiday two years ago to honor the pros whose daily work is to keep the Internet up and running.

Since the 1950s, Administrative Professionals have also been recognized with their own special week or holiday.

According to IDC, two-thirds of small to medium-sized businesses have their own Web Professional in-house.

In a 2009 study, the American Marketing Association noted marketers are exhibiting a steady, year-over-year spending increase for Web development.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts Web-related careers will grow faster than average for all occupations over the next decade. (Go Daddy has 130 open positions right now)

Go Daddy plans to celebrate its Web Pros with lunch parties at its Denver, Iowa and Arizona offices.
