Web Hosting ServicesCHARLOTTE, N.C. – National data center and cloud solutions provider Peak 10 Inc. today announced that it was selected by DukeNet Communications to deliver managed services and engineering expertise for the company’s IT infrastructure. DukeNet Communications provides advanced data and high capacity bandwidth services to enterprise, data center, government and carrier customers. The company is protecting its servers and business applications within a secure cloud computing environment at Peak 10.

“We chose Peak 10 because it has an extensive portfolio of managed services, and its data center operations team is highly skilled and very professional,” said Greg Neal, vice president of information technology at DukeNet Communications. “With Peak 10 providing our data center infrastructure, our requirements are proactively being met without the need for capital expenditures to create our own internal IT operations staff.”

DukeNet’s business applications, which are critical for its daily operations, will take advantage of the enterprise-class infrastructure of Peak 10.

“Companies like DukeNet that operate 24/7 and are highly dependent on software applications for their day-to-day operations need predictability in their IT infrastructure,” said Pat O’Brien, vice president and general manager of Peak 10’s Charlotte market. “We’ve paired reliable infrastructure with our managed services to ensure DukeNet maintains higher availability and can scale more rapidly than it could by using its own dedicated equipment.”

Peak 10 announced earlier this year that it is expanding its Charlotte operations to the University Research Park area near UNC-Charlotte. A new 62,000-square-foot facility will be built out in phases.
