Web Hosting ServicesATLANTA – Global Net Access, LLC (GNAX), today announced a new partnership with Internap. After successful testing, GNAX will utilize Internap for a 10GB IP connection to increase performance and redundancy within its Gold Network. The company is a leading provider of co-location in the Southeast U.S. and one of the leading providers of outsourced managed and unmanaged servers in the world.

GNAX will use an existing dark fiber route purchased from AGL Networks of Atlanta and will work with the engineering team to engineer a solution that traverses a different path than GNAX’s current fiber to its providers . “This path completely avoids Telx at 56 Marietta Street, which is the current termination point of the GNAX metro Ethernet networks,” Hinkle said. “The new fiber terminates at Internap’s 250 Williams Street facility and provides both increased redundancy and capacity. This is unique to most of the data centers in the region- especially in the city of Atlanta. Many have a ring or multiple paths – but like we were constructed in the past – they all come back to one single-point-of-failure facility.”
